That one has a different sound to it. Same mufflers as the other ones?

It has a 101D Kart motor in it. They sound way different than a 125 motor.
Basically the same motor in my saw that you ran at my place.

Would anyone have a spare muffler for a SP125 C that they would consider selling/trading?
I have a 125 with a SP125C air filter cover on it sitting on the wrong side of the border 150 miles away,borders closed to non essential travel plus a 2 week detention when you get back.I have waited a few years to get a 125,so a few more months will be fine.

That saw is just plain awesome to run. It and the 60mm 166 are my favorites

This is the muffler I have. With some cleaning it should be a good functional muffler.

Those mufflers take a special bolt i believe...
Are they as hard to come by as the slotted nuts for the 084 mufflers?

Pretty much, but this guy has a huge Mac 125 stash:

With Covid shutdown i should get a chance to get a few projects moving forward.
After the shutdown i can go retrieve my next projects the 125 being one of them.
Been lusting after one for while,plus a bunch of others.

Finally got around to rebuilding dad's old CP-125. It was a fairly low-hour stock block that he stripped out of an original CP-125 saw for a conversion to a kart saw.

I'm restoring it back to a stock CP-125, but the exterior will have some custom paint:

I'm not exactly sure which period this block is from. It has no numbers stamped into the block and no relief for the boost port, which makes me think it's not 797. There were two 797 blocks
in my dad's stuff and both have the boost port - one has no numbers and the other I think has 66251, which I believe is one of the ID numbers for a 797 block.I'm using the thin-ring piston on this one. The only thick-ring piston I have is a .020" over CP style piston.

Messing around with some pistons tonight - First up, dismounting a 1/2" wrist pin 797 piston and rod -

This 797 puked out its top ring locating pin and chaos ensued. The first two pictures showed the complete dismounting tool. The smaller retaining disc is for the
1/2" wrist pins, the large disc is for 9/16". The next picture shows getting the tool in place with the piston and lining up the extraction rod and retaining disc. You
can verify that you have everything lined up good when the retaining disc ends up flush just inside the needle bearing.
