Are the Solo and dolmar also new?
Or are they allready broke in?

I ported that 681 over 4 years ago for a friend. He borrow it me for the test. The dolmar/makita was a 6400 before and i put a ported 79 jug on it some months ago.
Also, the 500i is not entirely new from the box, the user before had it two days out for work (a logger from the eiffel in germany) felling some big beechwood for testing. It has 2-3 tanks through now. Sure, it needs maybe a couple of tanks more to reach the last percent of full potential.

there is a spring in the injection pump which closes the needle when 0.1 bar is reached. You can add a washer under the spring to set the pressure higher.

How certain are you that it can be accessed and modified?

What method did you choose to close it back up? Did re-heat/weld it? glue it? How long has it held up so far? Kudos to you for breaking the trail.

How thick of a shim did you use and can you tell how much the pressure increased?
