Other than crossover parts, are parts even available for the 500i yet? Or are they black market items?

there's nothing on stihl's site as far as ipl's

Lol why would it be it's a fuely. As I see it they can run it leaner with injection but I can be wrong like almost always.

I had to prove to my Stihl dealer that a 462 even existed. He told me no way... Never even heard of it...
Made him call his Distributor and look like a fool. Lol

They don't even know about that one here nether but on the 500i next time I'm in there I'm going to show them a video of it .lol

my dealer did not manage to provide me with the stocksaws I asked for this weekend. Then I compared the 500i with other saws, not so "stock". The stocksaw test will follow next week.

Start placing your bets and smack talkin guys! My $ is on the ported 390 (even though I am a 7900 fan). Sure it’s a unfair comparison... but it should give us some ball park idea of what kind of power the stock 500 has under the hood...

in honor to the 79er in the video, it has no full squish work done already, just some slight porting with a lowered base (and Bosch stickers instead of the makita one's )

I hope the video is halway enjoyable. As I said, a better and fairer test with some comparable stock saw's is hopefully coming up this week.
