Digging through a box of junk parts, came across this 372 crankshaft, the clutch side has been damaged, in your opinions is it damaged beyond use? I fit an e-clip on it, tried to spin it around to see if it would pop off and it didn't, but that isn't to say it won't at 8-10k rpm.

Does crankshaft from Husqvarna 340,345,350 and Jonsered 2141, 2145, 2150 fit on 346xp?

Some shop sites say that it fits, some say that i doesnt.

Run it. I've got saws that look like that that have gone years without issue.

Hit it with a few tack welds and clean it up with a Dremel? Id try that before tossing it.

Sounds good, the crank is in really good shape otherwise!!

So I got all new seals and gaskets for this 440 ..
Do I use any sealant on the case and cylinder mating surfaces or are the seals enough?

On my clamshells with my Stihls and Poulan, I just use sealant on the cylinder mating surfaces since that is where the potential air leak will be.

The huskys have a runner type seal that fits into the groove on the bottom of the cylinder... I'm just not sure if sealants actually needed or maybe it's a good idea for some added insurance?
