They are pretty good I use one for a day or two a year It's basically mine. The guy never uses it. Asks me to put a couple tank full through it just to keep everything limbered up.
they are kinda under rated.
I never thought they where much of a saw until I build up two.
Used them in bucking today and I liked them, sometime its good to use a saw who isnt so crazy as one ported 242 or 346.

Maybe I should just fix the intake clamp and keep it stock?
Thanks guys. [emoji106]

that is what I would done if it was me.
I only consider 346 top end kit if the 345 p&c is toasted, most of the times I already has a 346 bottom part so it will probleby never happen.
As said in an earlier post, them 345's isnt a bad saw, I can see myself using it more often then I thought.

What do you guys use to clean the surfaces with before you put sealant on? I was using brake clean, then switched to wax and grease remover. The bond has been alot stronger with hondabond ht.

I still use brake cleaner... maybe I'm behind the times.
Oddly enough, CRC brakleen is designed to leave no film, but i find it leaves more residue than even carb/choke cleaner. My favorite if I want something really dry and clean is CRC MAF Sensor cleaner. It is pricey stuff but worth it. It evaporates cleanly with no residue left behind. I use it at work all the time for cleaning MAFs (as its intended) and have been impressed with it. If something is really nasty, brakleen first as it's cheaper, then MAF cleaner to finish it off.

they just fall right on. no press fit. why they don't spin on the crank is beyond me.
Thank You Scott!

As far as removing sealant residue, I use a tiny soft stainless brush on my Dremel. Works freakin awesome!!!!
Finish cleaning up with B12 Chemtool carb cleaner.
Re-seal all clammies I've done with Yamabond 4.
So far, so good!!

I think somehow when you tighten the pan down, it compresses the bearings or seals onto the crank enough that they don't spin the inner race. I could slide the crank back and forth in mine before I tightened the pan bolts. Couldn't budge it afterwards. Weird

I've used the maf spray a couple times also. Works great.

What are my piston options for the stock 350 cylinder?
Which cylinder is it? There's a couple that came on them. I think pre epa was 44mm. Epa was 45mm. I think both had a dished piston. If its 45, the 353 flat top piston works like mentioned

I never thought to measure it.
I'll check it out tomorrow night
