That's awesome - still available? I need 1 for sure.
No they are NLA and have been for quite a while. They do pop up on eBay from time to time though. The intake has a wider stud spacing where the filter screws down, so you need both. I can check but I believe I don't have anymore.

Is the filter or the intake the hard to find piece?
Both I believe, with the intake the flywheel side takes a regular bolt but the PTO side needs a longer bolt.
I'll get a picture......

Building another 6xx series j-red with a 266 top end. I just wanted to share some things that I like to do when going through these saws.

Parts cleaned up and ready for assembly.
I heat my cases up in the toaster oven.

While it's heating, new seals and o-rings

@Mattyo tools make assembly a breeze.

I didn't snap a picture but I like to smear a little 518 on the cases as well as the gasket.

I like to put a little grease on the back of the seals before I install them. Just a little extra insurance in my opinion.

This series of saws seems to leak bar oil when sitting. I put a little 518 on the back of the oiler line, it has cured the problem for me.

These like a timing advance, .030 is what I like to take off the key.

I sanded the squish from .015 to .019 and sealed up the base with 518. A new pin bearing, meteor piston and caber ring.IMG_20200111_172137976.jpg

This is as far as I got hoping to finish tomorrow.
