One small issue, the kill switch wasn't working but I had one so.....
Ran a couple heat cycles tonight.
I don't have the cover on in the picture obviously, but it turned out pretty clean!

Just got this off ebay for the full wrap and figured I'd swap the handle and sell it. Now that I have it I think I'll keep it and change out the external filter to an OEM one.

i have a few saws to build and no fasteners
working on a very nice 272 builder today.
i ordered a 500 12.9 metric variety pack off amazon.
that covers coil,av,air horn mount etc.
i found cylinder bolts at tsc .98 cents for 2
still looking for wrap fasteners.

Not really sure what I'm going to do with the stack. I might use it on another saw. The full wrap is staying on it.

Put these together a few years ago.They both have the 48 mm closed port cylinders with the newer single ring windowed pistons.

Keep it all on the saw and get rid of it, they are junk! I'll kindly dispose of it for you.

Nice looking saw.

Took off that big aluminum piece off the front and put some spikes I had on it. Piston looks almost new and you can see the machine marks but there's a lot of carbon on top of the piston so I'll be pulling the top end and cleaning it up. Someone offered me a filter cover but I'm waiting on the payment info, hopefully he comes through. I sat a 272 cover that's been dyed black on it to see what it would look like but I like the Jonsered cover better.

How's the "668" compare to the 670?
I don't know what's been done to them but stock for stock the 670 should be stronger.

They’re pretty close,But I think the 670 has a slight edge on the 668.

I don't think so. When I put a 272 cylinder on mine all I used was was the rubber piece that goes around the block. If you use the filter box from a 272 there is a brace that bolts to the case over the block.
