Which is a problem for folks that don't know the difference. A lot of that going around. Just because it fits in the hole doesn't mean it should be put there.

What adds to the confusion is that most digital IPL's have the superseded part numbers. Not the originals that were in the paper parts manuals. If one guy's looking online, and another is looking at an old book...………..

I got one of these today for the boys 55. Nice looking part, about like Hyway. Can't beat the price!

Very well built these 55 mufflers are quality welds with screen and all.
Will have to be matched to the exhaust opening of the 266.
A bit smaller but with a dremel it'll breath.
It's a little tight to seat different geometry but once seated it's solid. 55 top
266 middle
Am 272 bottom

Im gonna try to whittle a hole through the baffle before we install this one. Seems like the 55 I had way back was a two piece muffler?? It has been awhile though...
