My 66 was made in Yugoslavia and it had plastic. It was an 88 model.
Bruce the site owner.I wish there was a good source for a full wrap for this chassis. There are still quite a few people out there that are running them. I have been hunting one for a while, I am thinking of just getting two cheap half wraps and Tig welding one up .
Are the fine thread mounts still available? If not I guess it would not do me any good to switch to the metal tank.
The XPG saws, even the 272 had the metal tank too.
BumpI'll be back in the morning with my wears.

The reason a 266 feels more like a 60cc saw is cause that's what it really started out as. The 162SE and Jonny 630 were both 48mm 62cc saws.
Comparing this saw family to the 372 family is a little different. With the 372's you could say they are "brothers and sisters", all of the same parents. With this 272/670 family it's more like they are all cousins, cause there's far more difference between the models and brands.
Makes the projects all the more interesting to me. Can have fun creating some odd ball saws that never were. Like my Jonsered 636, and the half completed 672.
What saws did the metal gas tank come on? I see a few advertised on eBay. I did not know if it would interchange with the plastic ones.
Metal tanks were on the 162's like in the pics above. They do interchange but use fine thread mounts to screw into the metal tank, where all the plastic tanks used course thread mounts.
