Silly question.
Anything bad I should know about a Sig Sauer P238?
My wife put 50 rounds through one at the range yesterday and it seems like I am going to have to buy her one.
I dont want to do a bunch of online research, i get obsessed with hobbies and I would rather have just a few firearms :)
Merry Christmas
If the gun you fired, is the one you're going to buy and the trigger is good, no worries. The triggers on those are hit or miss. I've felt some good ones and some horrible ones. That's one of those guns that you need to check before buying.

We were both able to shoot tight groupings the first time we fired it.
I didnt expect that kind of accuracy in a tiny package.
We rented the range gun from our range.
Unless we waited till next november that one isnt for sale
We had previously tries a different subcompact in .380 and it felt terrible.
Julie carries a small purse and her glock 43 takes up the whole damn thing so she never carries.
Thanks for the advise guys

A buddy picked one up for his GF this summer. Seemed like a solid gun.

You generally can't go wrong with Sig's

Thanks, can't find it around here. SGammo doesn't even list 22mag as of recent.
At work I've not seen a box of 22mag in over two years the distributer said not to even ask we have 22lr and just about every other caliber no problem most guys i know sold their mags and bought 17 hmr or 22lr or the new hot 17 winchester magnums shells everywhere for those.
O by the way I've seen 22mags 40.00 per 50 in the classifieds .ill just shoot .223

That is so weird. Like I said earlier my area never even had a 22mag shortage and still in stock. Just the 22lr was for a bit.
Wonder why WV and MI would be any different then OH.

I would have to go back and look at the shooting thread on my site to see what I was paying for the 22 bricks during the shortage.

Were only allowed to go through one distributer for guns and ammo sportsouth but none of the local gunstores have had much 22mag either.

This was some prices I got for a guy July 1st 2014

Chuck the place I called you from is open to 5pm daily. Big selection in stock. Prices have went up even there now. I could still see stickers under the old ones. Up $10 a brick.

40 gr RN 500 was 36.99 now before tax. LIMIT 1 per week must be 18 to buy. Glad my son was with me so I was able to get 2 bricks.

The 24.99 bricks stuff was sold out. Sticker wasnt updated on the price yet, but amount of rounds in box was down from 550 to 425

222rds of 36 gr copper plated HP $18.99 limit 2

40rds 38 gr C P HP 4.99 limit 2 I think also.

100rds of 36-38 c p HP 9.99 limit 2

500rds CCI 40gr RN 34.99

Above was in stock during the shortage.

I got lucky and drew an emergency hunt tag this year. We had a big range fire this summer and it burnt up the wintering grounds for some 4000 mule deer. They wanted to reduce the herd by 25% so that they did not all starve to death this winter.
My shooting was either lucky or I'm a crack shot. 216 yards, off hand, no rest, running deer, slightly quartering away angle, bounding thru medium sagebrush, hit it in the back of the head first shot. I was most thankful to prevent starvation of the whole herd, and that the deer gave up its life to be served up as meals respectfully on my table.
