I'd have to say black bear. It's definitely not wolf or canine nor a cougar. It looks bearish.

I hope so I've always been a .22mag person myself but decided to give a .17 a try.

Has anyone glass beaded the 93r17?

I've beaded a lot of rifles but never a 17. Is the barrel free floate? Not being familiar with this particular rifle, beading my not agree with it. I don't think you're going to get much barrel whip out of it being a stainless steel bull. I would polish the bore before anything. We always bought one box of each manufacturers ammo to see which one the rifle responded to the best.

Yes it is a free float barrel.

If the barrel is floated I wouldn't waste my time or money doing it. It's just a rim fire. Find a few different shells and see what it likes and go from there.

Finished up the 308 Ruger American tonight. I hope to bore-sight and shoot in the morning.
Scope is a VX-R 3-9x50 w/firedot 4 reticle sitting on Warne 30mm QRW rings.

Yes it is a free float barrel.

If I was going to bed anything it would be the barrel lug and just under the chamber.

Got out of the Tupper ware stock for a wood stock.
Also, heavy bottom metal and a tactical rail.
When you're limited to rimfire for daylight predators, go all out!
