The xds is small and compact. Shoots low and I know it. Great gun for 15' or less. I want to get an FN now that more holsters are available or I'll just get a Glock 23 or 19.
I got them all boys, carry xds everyday for the size. Not sure why you would shoot low Mike mabe send her back. I once shoot a ground hog at 65 yrds not bad for a 3 in gun. Got the fn in 9mm and 45 acp ,guarantee the 45 is going with if sh,t ever hits the fan 16 rounds of kick your azz ready to go. Had to grind the sh,t outa my g 19 to make her aim good . Look at the Rock Island Armory, they are good shooters for cheap, just not made here
Here's a Charles Daly 1911 I picked up a while back for $350.
It's made in the Philippines by Armscor, the same company that makes Rock Island. The trigger isn't the equal of a Kimber or Colt GC but it ain't bad.
It's got the features you generally pay extra for and the Ambi safety is nice, since I'm a Lefty. If this was the only 1911 I had, I wouldn't feel cheated.
The Recently manufactured Armscor guns I've handled have all been good quality. They make a copy of the Colt Detective Special in .38 spec, that's a dandy little gun for not much money. The exterior finish is a bit rough but the internals are properly fit and finished.
I certainly wouldn't pass on an Armscor pistol, if I found a good one at an attractive price.

Though I have to admit that I like my Spfld 1911A1 better than all my others guns combined. This is my main carry gun. I'm in the minority because I prefer adjustable sights and a spur hammer for carry.

This target is 50 shots in 60 seconds off hand at 33 feet with 190PF handloads. No other handgun I own comes even close in performance.

This is my carry gun! Kimber Ultra CDP bought used back around 2005 for $799. Best shooting gun I have ever touched!

I love this Beretta 92fs. I know that I don't have the knock down power of the.45, but the recoil for me is very manageable. I bought the grips aftermarket form Israel. As you can see it enables me to mount a light or lazier on it quite easily.image.jpeg
