While not considered firearms I do have some air rifles. One is a fairly high powered Seneca Eagle Claw, a Diana Bandit/Chaser hybrid, and a Daisy 901. The Eagle Claw is pretty close in muzzle energy to a .22 short. We bought the Eagle Claw to deal with any predators that may come around our chickens or alpacas, but the other two are for target shooting/fun. Eventually I'd like to get an HPA compressor so I don't have to hand pump the Eagle Claw, it takes a lot of effort for a magazine at full power. Plus the Eagle Claw is pretty heavy, so it only gets shot from supported firing positions. The Bandit is actually a pistol converted to a carbine, also requires a pump, but the air tube is tiny compared to the EC and it's not a chore to pump by hand. All three will make 1/2" groups at 75', but the Diana iron sights are trash so I'm waiting on some better optics. The Daisy surprised me the most and with ten pumps can burry a lead free 6gr .177 pellet in 3/4" T1-11 plywood siding (I use a scrap for my target backstop). The Diana is a bit more powerful than the Daisy, but doesn't need as much labor to shoot it and has a pellet magazine. So far the Diana is the most fun to shoot, but that Eagle Claw can put holes in holes at 75 meters. The Diana and Daisy are really meant for 50' or less, only 25' if shooting steel BBs out of the Daisy.
I have to wait on a new fill probe for the Diana to shoot it again. The included probe exploded while I was filling the tube the other day. The bore was off center and the walls were thinner on one side and I assume that lead to the failure. Hopefully the new one is better!
