It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in KC.

Thought I would get the Badger Ordnance M2013 300WM out and let my wife send some lead down range.

691yds, 190gr SMK's

I am truly blessed to have a wonderful wife who can shoot and enjoy my hobbies with me!

You got a can on that rifle?

No this is full load, muzzle velocity is 3045

3.7 mil to 691

Hearing safe with the can.

I have a 338 ultra in jail, that can on the 300wm is incredibly quite!

We tested it and the 30P1 side by side and wow what a difference.

On my M40A5 no difference at all. Just not enough blast to make any difference.

Yesterday I was practicing with my snubnose .38 and touched off a round without earplugs just out of curiosity. Woah, that thing is as loud as any rifle I have ever tried just without the supersonic concussion.

What grain weight were you blasting?
I've been considering a 6 shot .38 for a while...how do you like yours?

I had a friend who liked loud, fire breathing loads. I loaded him some 125gr jhp's over WW296, in .357M brass He shot those in a 4" colt MK3. He could clear the firing line at the public range we used to shoot at. The muzzle blast was sharp and brutal.
Short barrels are loud.

3.1 grains Accurate Nitro 100 under a 150 semi wadcutter from a Lee mold. Ive had my 637 for several years and it is great gun. Added the reduced power rebound and hammer springs and it has a great trigger pull. The 637 is a 5 shot, I also have a Taurus 856 6 shot and like it very much also.

Do you roll yer own, and is .38 ammo hard to find up your way?

Factory .38 special is pretty much unobtanium right now.
My sister has a bunch on order with an expected delivery of June or July.
Rolling your own is the only way to go, if you shoot much at all.

Hmm...sorry to hear that. I don't own a .38, but my 86 yr old Pa has a .38 by his bedside.
I'd like to grab a box or two for him.

I have a small lee melting pot and lots of lead. I thought about getting a bullet mold. But its the wrong time to get into reloading. I do have the dies for 38/357z

If you would like to borrow a mold, let me know. I have a bunch of them.
