It's a great cartridge. I know everyone likes to have their 280 ai vs. 7 rem mag discussions. It's really close if you hand load. I hand load 160 nosler accubonds over a certain amount of reloader 26 It's no slouch. And there's no belting on the case when you resize, It's great. What's strange is the .280 AI is becoming a factory cartridge. Savage did a run of Axis rifles recently.
At first I thought that was a Bigfoot Track. Large boot size.Bonus meal walking back goose hunting the other day.

I guess I'm not sure. I originally built it for ELR practical rifle matches. The 6.5 SAUM (GAP 4S) pushes a high B.C., 140 grain bullet pretty fast and is packaged in a short action. Although it has a bit more case capacity, it is similar to the factory loaded 6.5 PRC.So, is the SAUM series becoming like the .284 Winchester? A cartridge that no one cared about in it's original form yet super popular for wildcatters.

Awesome Spread Mate! BTW...what did you take the bunnies with? They've got some good-looking coats!Just about that time of season to go chase caribou by Alaskan Malamute freight team. March: Best month in Alaska. More daylight, good ice fishing, good bunny hunting, caribou start moving back to there calving grounds.

Around here we actually need to get our fox numbers up to compete with coyotes. Reds are coming back nicely, I've even seen a few grays in the headlights at night.A few foxes cleaned up from my friends farm last weeek, all shot with a Tikka T3 varmint in .204ruger.
Lambs are due in a month so i trying to get fox numbers down.View attachment 364949
My appologies on the late reply, I use an sp101 in 357 mag as my only hand gun. 158grain fmj over a smidgen of unique powder. Doesn't even damage a little red squirrel. Then 180 grain swift a-frames for protection against bears and grumpy winter moose.Awesome Spread Mate! BTW...what did you take the bunnies with? They've got some good-looking coats!
