Nice pistol and nice groups.
I like to stay minute of methhead accurate.
At my new house I've never lost anything in the 9 years since I moved here
It's very remote.
But before I moved here a old farmer down the road lost
Tractors,cattle and farm equipment
To thieves
After I moved here
He shot at one breaking into his garage with a single shot 12 gauge
But missed with the first shot it was too high.
The second shot hit the guy's car and got the side glass but he got away.
Not bad for a 85 year old korean war vet.
I gave him a box of 00 buck and a couple ultra bright flashlights.

Good on you for helping him out.
He Carry's a jennings 9mm with one in the chamber
Even that company when it was in business said do not leave a round in the chamber.
But he Carry's it in his overalls
The safety doesn't work at all.
I tried to sell him my g3c taurus but he likes that jennings.

Saddened by all this. A lot of the local businesses like this cannot survive the present atmosphere.
One of the local shops I was in yesterday said they get "what is available" (in the way of handguns)
but most of it leaves the same day it arrives or the next day. They just can't get the guns.

Very sad to see this. The shop I usually go to is as empty as that one is. Thing is, the owner is such a miser that they can probably survive until he just decides he is tired of doing it. I know the guy has many, many thousands in cash at the shop and at home, also he has a pretty massive collection of valuable guns that he dips into when needed. On top of his paid for farm and home. One day I watched him pay cash for a really nice 20 year old dozer like it was nothing. Of course, he griped the whole time about why the seller was giving him a bad deal.

Geez, a Hi-Point would be an upgrade.

I used to observe older people in this same way. A local guy who ran a junk yard was probably a millionaire and also sadly a drunkard for many years. He worked and saved and had wads of cash pretty much all the time. A friend of mine worked for him for a while. He would often pass out in the back of the business on a cot with pockets full of money. If my friend had not been honest he could probably have stole the man blind. The generation before mine knew a lot about saving. My grandparents were this way having grown up in the depression. My grandfather was a wealthy man -- you'd never know it to look at him. He didn't buy new clothes often, nor did he spend money readily. As a young man I observed these traits and pondered over all these things. These had money because they worked hard, saved quite a bit and knew the art of a deal -- even if that meant driving a hard bargain. (I don't say any of this to scold you -- most of this has been put together in my mind only recently). My kids are grown and I feel rather certain they probably have observed some of the same traits in me. Hopefully they too will one day put these things together and learn from the previous generation. I'm thinking out loud now -- usually I get in trouble this way. Pardon me for doing so.

Around here the few small shops left are empty and have priced themselves outta business. They can’t compete with BPS, Cabela’s, or Sportsman’s Warehouse. Nobody is gonna spend $50-$100 more on a gun or $20 for 50 rds there when you can get it at one of the big stores for $12.99 and the big store actually has it and the little guy says it might be here in a couple weeks

In all honesty we don't see any sizeable ammo for much less than $1.00 (or more) a round. If you can find 9mm and AR ammo for what you stated buy a 55 gallon barrel of it!

I wish i could buy that many! I Just paid $.25 a round for Blazer 124g for 50rd box and Federal 115g was as well in 9mm and $.40 a round for .40 in 100rd box for Winchester white box this past Saturday. 22lr CCI AR Tactical was $24.99 for 300 rounds. 2 box limit per caliber so i got 2 of each. I’m good on 5.56 and .223 so i haven’t looked for those in a while.

You have come into some good deals.
They are not to be had here locally.
