Not a cheater, just working less hard! That's cheating.... wait you can reverse the chain!!!? I want one!!!
Do you still file at all? I can file as fast as I can grind if it's just dull from cutting. Most pro & semi pro users on here deem this grinder sloppy and inaccurate.
It was my salvation from hours of filing and I work with its flaws - have no issues with it whatsoever.
And YES, the chain clamp and motor mount swivel around so that both LH & RH cutter are ground from the outside in and the sparks always spray away from the operator.
Mine is an elder unit, they are still making them though.

I also have a BAHCO file guide, several of those guides that clamp on the bar, and I believe a Oregon filing kit.
I just got sick & tired loosing whole weekends filing chains.
The steep decline in round file quality by Stihl & Oregon didn't help either.
Possibly off eBay, but I found the Husqvarna Intensive Cut files, round & flat, to be good. Can you get Pferd/Vallorbe files?
Did you file both vertical sides or one?As said, I own a Husky roller guide.
Interference was minimal.
Take a mild file stroke off both sides then check fitment, You don't want it too loose as it'll wobble otherwise.

That will cut OK. You can adjust things to suit the power and wood type you are cutting. A cutter like that will allow a little more depth gauge if you want a bit more cut speed and it will hold an edge wellwas bored this afternoon and decided to practice some more. The file is still not sitting as deep as it should. It did decreased the hook, I think the angle is far less drastic as well. A few times it was only hitting the area I highlighted red
