Evening all!!! I got to run to OKC today with some folks from work and raced some go carts at Pole Position race way. It was a good time. Lunch at Twin Peaks wasn't bad either...

Been a good day here too. Dropped a decent "blackjack" oak, bucked it and loaded it with another nice sized pin oak I dropped and bucked yesterday, plus 2 more very small hickory's. 1 1/2 trailer loads of primo oak is a success for me. Did this with Paul Shook and my youngest, Isaac. Isaac got to drive the Kubota, that I have on loan. Had lunch with Isaac and hung out with him. He told me today was fun and he had a great time,,,mission accomplished. I know it was getting to drive the Kubota that he liked but I am good with that.
:sinfotos:I don't know why it's in Spanish, but it roughly translates "This thread is worthless without pics" if I remember my Spanish.

Doesn anyone here have an idea how hard it would be to convert an '89 or '90 S-10 long bed (TBI 4.3/auto) to a 4x4? I have one which was given to me that I've got some ideas for. I may just replace the fuel pump and sell it though...

1 last Cancun pic. I was testing my memory of sailing with a 16' Hobie Cat catamaran. Shalie was a bit reluctant but came along and even had some fun. She shot this pic when I was looking past her at some jet ski traffic that ddn't realize that sail boats have the right of way... I may have to buy a sail boat some day.

It can be done, how difficult is another story. Sawnawmi might be able to give some input.

Anything is possible Brian but it would be a tedious job. I'd put a fuel pump in it, sell it, and find a project closer to what you are wanting.

On the fuel pump, I'd suggest an AC Delco. Our youngest son decided to use alternate brands and is on his third pump in 6 months. He's VERY good on tank R&R's now. [emoji849] The AC Delco has a jet pump to keep the pump reservoir filled and most others cut that corner to make them less expensive.

What Steve says, X2 on the Delco pump, if your keeping it

Just my 2 cents, but every time I started a project like that where I transformed one something into another something it ended way over budget, past schedule and didn't work exactly like I had hoped. Usually an injury or two along the way as well.

Of course, I'm no mechanic - you may have the skills to do that. I'm not all that bright. I can, however, lift heavy things and I'm a fair hand in a fight. Well, used to be a fair hand.

While I can't vouch for anything S-10 related, I do consider myself fairly knowledgable about Ranger/Bronco II stuff. And my son is finding out all the little things that are different between them. Many times he has gotten frustrated, almost beyond hope, with things, but he has persevered in making progress. Very slow progress. A couple of weeks ago, while I was building some cabinet doors out on the deck, we had a discussion with how difficult it was going. He had just pulled the rear differential from his doner Ranger and discovered the spring perches were located slightly different from where they needed to be for his Bronco. He was very upset. We sat down and discussed what he was trying to do and I finally got him to realize that what he was doing was not a plug and play type of thing. That what he was doing was actually dating back to hot rodding's earliest days. When everything was dreamed up and manufactured in some bodies garage at home, hand built many times over until it was figured out and made workable. It seems to be working for him now. Dad's just here to keep things in perspective.
