Now ya gotta make sure that treacherous, miserable, "I hate it's guts" plumbing is absolutely leak proof...

Have I mentioned I hate plumbing?
You know it. Yeah plumbing is my least favorite part of any remodel project. But I must be getting better at it cause I had no leaks with my first attempt this go round! Knock on wood if ya know what I mean!!!!!!

Looks like a big project. Would love to see the finished pics.
Yes it definitely is a lot bigger than what we had envisioned. What makes this one even more special is I get to spend some extra time with my oldest girl and also those beams are my very first oak beams that I milled on my bandsaw Mill that I actually harvested my self. They will out last me for sure! This house that she is living in is actually the house I grew up in too!! I will keep posting pics as we progress. ....everyone have a safe one they say we are under a fire warning. Winds are supposed to be 30-40mph gust here.

I think I may just send that s10 down the road and find a better option. A '69 K-5 Blazer, or '86 Scottsdale 3500 4x4 (but only with a 8.1l, Cummins or Detroit heart beat) would be ok...
I'm drooling! Square body, diesel, crew cab, 6 speed.... Yeah baby. I would love to take Levis truck and add an ex cab to it! With a flatbed of course!

IA spring gtg is the last weekend in April.

Morning midlanders!

Plumbing! Rather do it than any carpentry.
At our old house, I got tired of scalding/freezing in the shower when Barbara used the kitchen sink. Plus there were no individual shut offs for any fixture. I redid the entire basement in 3/4" & 1/2" rigid copper with a shutoff for every faucet including the gas line to the furnace.
The water meter got repositioned slightly in the process. Water company came along and relocated it out to the curb in front. That's when we discovered the original 3/8" black pipe feed was growed near shut with calcium. Replaced it with 3/4". Cost $700.

Previously the meter was read thru a small basement window.

After the dust settled, we had enuff pressure/flow to open a laundromat.

That's back when I bought Blondie a pair of pipe wrenches for Mother's Day.

I got a set of dishes for Fathers Day.

If you keep adding to that pile, I'm gonna have to come down there for a get dat chit split up day..

I may take you up on that...seriously. With the decrease in Charity Cuts in our area, an annual splitfest down here might just fit in. I could definitely use the help.

Been tinkering with the Evilbay 82cc Remy. Opened up the points a bit to advance the timing, replaced the metering diaphragm, new 81 dl of chizel chain, swapped on a bucking spike and rim drive.
Cleaned out the mess.

More test cuts on the FOP pine and make wood for Jim we will.
