Ok saw question. Friend got an 009 and it runs but at full throttle it starts to run then dies.

Not delivering enough fuel to run high speed. Plugged fuel filter, bad fuel line, blockage in the carb. Replace the first two, clean and rebuild the latter. A plugging fuel filter will affect high speed running first ( high fuel demand) then gradually affect idle. Gets plugged enough it won't let fuel through at all. Did they run/store it with e10 fuel in it? Also, non-synthetic oil mix can let bacteria grow in the carb passages and plug the fuel passages if left long enough.

Sounds like it has spark. Probably fuel Filter or collapsing fuel line. But I've never worked on a 009. Mike @Homelite410 Luvs that brand.

Wavy is more a by product of growing conditions than variety.

You appear to have a nice Pin oak there.

Do you know what conditions cause this? We were wondering how old the tree was, but if they grow fast it may not be as old as we wished or thought.
A bigger limb broke out a month ago and they wanted this limb removed so that's what we did. This stuff was the hardest splitting wood I have messed with.

If you could get lumber made out of this wood it would be really pretty grain!

Hmmm.. I think they do have those down round Neosho.

The tree is in the civil war cemetery in Newtonia. This cemetery was here when the civil war battles took place and the soldiers from both side that died in the battle were buried there.
