I am still figuring out how to sear on my charcoal grill

After I get mine hot , est. 500-600*, I slap the steaks on each side for 2-4 minutes then rake all the coals to one side & finish them with indirect heat.

That is sad.

I have gotten distracted & done that a couple of times, very disappointing.

Of coarse the dogs didn’t really care though.

Sam's getting pretty good at grilling steaks so I just get him to do the steak cooking......it's better that way.
