What's the blend percent you get from MFA? We get offroad from local COOP and usually don't have any problems treating with power service. Pumps in this area only say #2 blended from 5-20% max. Be nice to find some #1 diesel in the area just for a couple tanks during the winter months. I am beginning to think this may be summer bio.

I will look next time I swing thru Sheridan or Maryville to fill up, it just said winter blend.

MFA always said don’t put any additional additives in their winter blend because they will have negative effects/counter act the anti gelling of their fuel. The only thing we ever added to tractor fuel was ice eater.

I believe the place in town ( not MFA ) is 70/30. I will look next time I get gas.

Howes emergency lifeline diesel additive is garbage. No wonder it was on sale at O'reilly's. Can't wait to get rid of all this dealer diesel in the tank. Clouds at the drop of a hat. Luckily tractor didn't shut down completely so I went for a drive through the field until enough had recirculated back into the tank to warm it up.
The weird thing is Chris always said they used Howe’s in all their winter snow removal equipment. Chris is DSS from the site. He was in charge of the machinery for his company in Prince Edward Island Nova Scotia.
Gets pretty cold up there..

Bet their fuel is better.

Kerosene and #1 diesel are only one cracking difference in refinement.

You are better off adding a couple of gallons of kerosene as the impurity limit is lower from the refiner.

If you can get kerosene to wax up you have accomplished something I have never seen done in my lifetime.

For 10 years I ran JETA in my Mercedes diesel which is almost identical to #1 diesel.
Added Marvel Mystery oil for pump and cylinder lube.

Worked great for 200k miles. No issues
