Good evening folks.
2 saws repaired and ready to go some where else. A carb kit in one and starter rope in the other.
Time to think about what's for dinner and maybe rehydrate.

Blending with #1 to reduce paraffin content I would assume. I don't think the local MFA has that type, I'll take a look next time I am around one of the pumps. @Jetmd mentioned kerosene to help but are we talking real kerosene or K1. Looks like we have almost another year to worry about it anyway.

A lot of the older fellas here used to mix gasoline in with their truck diesel to thin it out.

Good morning.

41/65

So warm we didn't bother running the heat last night, kinda chilly in the house this morning, but it'll pass.
I started a fire out of habit..
And will every morning till April probably.

We been using the stove since end of October..

I may have to up the firewood production and quit selling as much. My 3 year supply ain’t gonna last that long at this rate.

I had about 60 cord c/s/s, I am down to about 15 or so now, most is Osage which no one will burn because they are scared of it.

People drive by & see my stacks or hear about me cutting wood & start calling wanting to buy wood.

Then they b*tch & moan about only wanting certain types of wood.

Had to start telling people no. Selling wood here isn’t profitable & everyone has opinions about how it cut/split.

The folks that are capable of cutting their own or helping, don’t/won’t help… They are also the biggest complaints about price.

In my area, cutting firewood for money is a waste of time....which reminds me, I have to cut a cord of wood to sell this Saturday..... :BangHead:

The very first diesel pickup I bought, an F350 with a 6.9 IDI Navistar had clearly stated in the owner’s manual the amount of gas to be added during winter operations.

This was when I lived at home in NE Iowa.

I never had any issues just running the winter blend from our local COOP.

I would add extra treatment just for insurance

I had two VW Diesels back in the 80's and the Owner's Manuals recommended up to 10% gas added to #2 fuel. Had to resort to that when a "50-50" mix gelled up and the rescue stuff wouldn't pour out of the can.
Being that #1 was more expensive than #2, the 50-50 blend was probably like a 50-50 blend of turkey and chicken. One of each ya know!:D

poor picture, but that’s all you will get from me. The place Sam works has a lot of trees, so they do some tree work. One of the saws was down; I told Sam to bring it home and I would look at it. Has 0 compression so I pulled the muffler. Scored to death. I called him and told him it is most likely fixable, but not by me. My hammer won't fix it so I am out. My guess is it was straight gassed
Yes.

It gets crazy hot. I haven't found a need for anything over medium heat; and that is too much sometimes. I have seared my steaks on the blackstone and finished on the grill. I am still figuring out how to sear on my charcoal grill

What I don't like is the mess they create and scraping all the crap off. I don't have that with the grill
Mmmmmm. Philly cheese steak. 😉

The MS291 is a gift still giving.

IMG_5006.jpeg

Sheriff (four of them. 🙄) deputies arrested my ass for theft yesterday afternoon.

Spent seven hours in a holding cell.

I no longer ‘back the blue’ or brown in this case.

Maggie was glad to see me last evening.

Tip: Insist on a statement of charges. Don’t say a *f-wording thing until you get in black & white.
