Good morning folks. 48 to 59 today.
Great fall temps for our neck of the almost woods country. Makes it much easier for outside duties...
Beautiful day out plus got off early after starting at 4:30 this morning. Was able to fill a 330 gallon tote with more wood still in the pickup. I think I'm closing in on 3 cord that should be dry enough for this year so a little pressure is off. Just need another 4-5 cords and will be easily at the 3-year mark. Tractor sure makes moving wood to the back easier. :risas3:
👍Looking like an excellent start for a multi-season supply.

I heard the insinuation, on another sight, that you had to move cause you milled all available logs of good nuf size around your last address lol
Yeah, me & Paul Bunyan...lol

Actually, it looks to me like trees are growing faster than we can cut em in general.

The purple Peterbilt had been having some issues since last summer, we had several diagnosis & tried a couple of recommended fixes but they were ineffective, it dropped all oil pressure again early this spring. It just came home from the doctor with what on the surface appears to be a rather expensive paint job…

I am sure it is what’s inside that will make the real difference though, well that new single stage turbo should help significantly as well.

And good to see you run genuine CAT filters.
They are worth every dollar!
Most folks dont run cat fuel filters because they plug at about 3500-5000 miles no matter where you get fuel. This was my experience as well.
I have no problems with the Cat oil filters.

We usually run Baldwins all the way around. I haven’t spoken to the engine builder but if he wants us to run Cats on the fuel side the we will. We will just have to buy a few to have on hand at the shop & put an extra in the truck. It needs restocked anyway.
