I agree, but it is Carl's house and Murphy's law loves me. If you want to do it, tell me when, and I will be there, on the rope or on the saw, or on the camera videoing...
How about on the roof pushing it away? Camera can be setup on auto record.

Man, I love sawing pine...

Is that 3/4” actual?
Or 3/4” machine setting?
This white pine is not quite as nice to mill as southern yellow pine.....not bad, just a bit fuzzier, plus the big stupid knots in super soft wood makes it more interesting.

3/4 thickness, (7/8" setting on the scale).

I can do about 14.5" above the blade on this mill.

Copy that...

The white I’ve milled is full of knots, but stays really stable for the most part.

Don’t make a ladder out of it.. LOL..

I had that sense...

We learned the hard way...

*s-wordty ladders for the tower stand they make....
I'm not planning to use the white pine for anything structural, just siding (maybe) or paneling/interior finish work.
It is very weak, feels about like styrofoam.

Morning fellas! About ready to start logging for the winter. Lots of timber lined up.
Started on the soybeans. I think 20 bu at the max is all. Most have been zeroed out in our area. Corn was 20-70 bu and milo 20-50 bu. Too much heat and very little rain is the recipe for that.

Couldn't like all of this, as we had the very limited spotty mother nature's moisture here as well throughout the summer. Lately the rains have been a bit more consistence, hopefully it will replenish/rehydrate the soils to help for the next seasons.

Glad to hear you have some logging lined up but the crop news is a real bummer to hear about.

Beautiful day out plus got off early after starting at 4:30 this morning. Was able to fill a 330 gallon tote with more wood still in the pickup. I think I'm closing in on 3 cord that should be dry enough for this year so a little pressure is off. Just need another 4-5 cords and will be easily at the 3-year mark. Tractor sure makes moving wood to the back easier. :risas3:
