And St Louis got almost 12 inches of rain..

Because the concrete jungle needed to be watered I guess..

I grew up in south St. Louis county like Tony.

Once when I was about 14 and my cousin Bill was alone while our parents went square dancing we got eight inches of rain in four hours.

Water opened up a sinkhole at the end of the driveway.

South county is all karst/limestone formation.

Fortunately dad pulled into the neighbors drive or the ‘59 wagon would have been swallowed up.

5237 Milburn Rd., Oakville, Mo.

Well it opened up and showered in Springfield today... cuz that concrete needed washed too..

Nothing at the house.. cuz corn and beans don’t need water..

Only concrete...

Vehicle recovery:

Carlee drove off the pavement into a ditch.

Yeah, the LR is off the pavement by 4”. [emoji90]

I used my Walker road service Jack to put a stack of boards under both RH tires and drove it forward into the people’s driveway.

No tow truck needed. [emoji108]

Same here. Not enough to get my gauge wet in months now. Only saving grace is rain around us should help keep groundwater up. Hate to see wells go dry.
It's happening here..
Even a couple of the older irrigation wells are running low pressure.
Then shutting off..

Got a 1/2 inch in 5 minutes last night and the full five minutes might be on the generous side of things. And then it was over as quick as it started. Just sheets of rain. It was as intense of rain as ive seen in some time.
