Roaring River is our favorite. Kinda hard to get in this time of year, it's better in the fall. Tablrock State Park is good, too.
This is Pomme de Terre. Nice campgrounds and the neighbors aren't stacked up on you. Plus a nice view.

Former coworker and friend lives near there. Pittsburg, Mo. is his mailing address. Near on the lake itself I think.

Morning midlanders!

An Echo 660EVL on the bench for a rerun. Carb overhaul and ‘O’ rings on the oil pump. It filled the neighborhood with smoke when I ran it last. [emoji90] One would think my garage caught fire. [emoji2960]

Chain can be a pain in the ass..

Hard to decide what to save..

Save everything!!

Upshot of this is the China .068” chain fits perfectly a random Stihl mount 16” hardnose bar I’ve got laying about.

Bar is marked 1.6 mm but well worn.

Throw bar/chain in with one of my clones as added bonus. [emoji108]

The Echo oil pump:

The ‘O’ rings I tried were a touch thicker than the originals. Had to use a lot of force to get it in. Wouldn’t go all the way so pulled it back out.

One ring is now absent without leave somewhere in the crankcase. [emoji90][emoji51]

It will just have to work its way out somehow. [emoji6]

what causes that? Arsonist?
I would guess just the beans being wet & unable to get air flow thru them to dry them out. I have never heard of beans starting on fire but I have heard of & seen few grain bins of corn on fire/smoldering from getting hot spots in them.

Spontaneous combustion.
I remember a Harvestore silo that caught on fire and burned for several weeks when I was living in North MO. All of the blue paint was burned off the outside of it.

Probably. But it wouldn't surprise me if someone gave that mess a helping hand.

Just a big pussy cat to start.

I flooded it good with a dribble to avoid lean kickback.[emoji16]

Dialed in the carb a bit and turned down the idle.

Found the Oiler adjustment and turned it down from OMG!! high.

24” should be the minimum length on this. [emoji2960]

I’ve got the 36” x .404” Poulan Pro bar but no chain. It is actually a D196 mount but comes with both adapter sleeves and an ‘S’ spacer.

Look thru my random .404” chains next.

I’m out of test log. [emoji90]
