We be getting some rain here finally. Three tenths & 110 drops since first week of June, things are looking pretty tough. I saw a few beans that were dying off yesterday; not entire fields just some beans in poorer ground in a couple of different fields. A lot of the corn is firing & scorching.

Morning midlanders!

Weather app shows we got 1/2” of rain. [emoji106] It helps but we need more. Big cracks in the ground.

Crap I sprayed with Roundup looks good and deadish.

Except wild violets. [emoji37] Them mofos are hardy!

With Calin’s aid, we determined the Corvair has no spark. [emoji90]

Points look good so we will beat up on the condenser and the coil.

How does that stuff go bad just sitting?
I've had condensers do that b4 but never had a coil do that though.

The corn in by brother in laws west field is in full dent.. it was in early and pretty well drained, so by the time we got 2 dry weeks in a row, it was made.
Funny how it only takes 2 weeks of 90 and dry to put serious stress on corn.

Crank it over with the cap and rotor off of it. If the points are arcing, condenser is bad.
My money is on the condenser.

Morning everybody.

Trusses are up.. braces are on .

Done for the weekend.. cooked in the sun too much already..

I'd X brace the the kings or the webs closest to vertical around mid roof. You can never have enough shear stiffness, don't ask me how I know about this!

I waited until Jeff next door left for work at 6:15 and his wife at 6:30 then fired up a Deere 60v with the exhaust pointed at the *b-word’s back yard.

[emoji48]

She came out in her house coat complaining.

Seems she needs her sleep so she can go to work at 10.

Ten!!

She will likely complain to the city again like she did about the cookie pile.

I dumped out 1.89” this morning, I don’t see any puddles or hear any extra water running running under the road. Roads were a bit squishy this morning. Getting ready to play in the mud, helping my friend work 100 cow/calf pairs.
