My BIL has a pad mount unit but his he has to go start it and throw the switch .
With all this being said, these systems need to be excersized at least every couple of months . BIL never did that and paid for it. When he needed it, guess what? No start, no run and wound up doing some major repairs because of mice .
I started storing my generator with 100LL navgas fuel. Topping it off with 100LL. Very long storage life for the fuel. Made starting after a long storage period much easier. 6 months and started on first pull. I was suprised and happy.

Its actually real gas not ethanol blended. It's good stuff we used it in the race car with good results.

Morning midlanders!

Up at three am and discovered a flat on the old Dodge. [emoji90]

Tiny break in the sidewall turned into a replacement.

In and out of Walmart in thirty minutes. [emoji106]
wow that's fast! I mean so fast it might be faster for me to drive to that Walmart vs using local one.

I feel lucky to have a station in town with 102 that I'll snag for long term storage stuff.

Go by the oil and octane shop and get 5 gallons of their super gas. run it in the gen, then leave it in for storage.
2-3 year life on their "95 super fuel" won't draw moisture or goo up a carb.

I didn’t hurt that the mechanic was one of the kids Mrs Nagel taught in kindergarten. [emoji108]

He had the problem spotted and located the proper tire in inventory before I got up to the sales desk.

About the first ten years of marriage, I introduced myself as ‘Miss Wise’s husband”.

Evening.
Tomorrow I think I go pick up my dump trailer. Load Trail 14' long 10K payload scissors style dump mechanism. It'll be hard to hurt that one with logs, but I hope to recover enough to try, and soon.

Have a good weekend!

Yeah I'd been milling for a few years, before I ran into doing different. My thought was that is the oiled side and the chip pile under foot wood be a nuisance. Plus without the tip guard in place the chips fly and scatter.
Good morning 71° up early for a retiree. Getting into practice for an auction a week from Saturday that is large enough to start an hour earlier than usual.
Pain management shots up at Jefferson Barracks hospital at 1300

Is that extra tough on the sprocket? The scattering if chips might make it worth the price if admission!

Good morning!

Still stove up in the chest, but at least it’s not broken. Going to try to find an abdominal binder (for belly hernia blow prevention) and see if I can’t use it to support my sternicostal ligaments or whatever it is that hurts so much, and get back to work. This is driving me crazy and worse..:

Very thankful for calming/moderating influence of the Queen.

Hope your day is a good one.

Here is my toolbox repair/upgrade, motivated by my having to cut the back out of the box to get the saws I stuffed in there too tightly. I think it turned out well.

I haven't noticed anything on the tip. Did have one drive sprocket break; may have been a poor casting. The not standing in the stack of chips, & the clog under the cover not happening. With no experience to draw on, I'm not sure how much oil gets between the bar & chain at the tip from auxiliary oil. With the tip guard in place, the drop of caught chips is visible in the pic i use of the Ash I milled a couple years ago
