Man...

That guy needs a *frenching clue on saw tuning and chain setting for milling..

The 9010 would have run through that 30” slab in half the time..

The chi com 070 should be tuned to 12,000+, not 8000..
Yea he didn't seem too sharp but ran across it this afternoon and was like we were just talking about these!!

He was waiting on his ripping chain..

Why not just sharpen and set rakers on the one you got??

Step in the right direction.

My 661 with my set-up ( how wide was that again) wood be faster, but then I know that wobbling the bar back and forth in the cut slows the process. Having the cut at an angle so the chisels help feed is another benefitIMG_20160929_112222.jpg
Bar at angle with gravitational assistance meant that I needed to lean into the handle with my hip to prevent the tip from binding on the bark. And hold back the progress as the cutters got a little less sharp as progress was made. Have learned much about better sharpening in the two years since this picture was taken. Went back and checked this ms-460 w/ mufmod and 42" bar cutting 37" Ash was as fast or faster than the dude milling 30". Started using those slabs. Air dried enough!

Yeah I'd been milling for a few years, before I ran into doing different. My thought was that is the oiled side and the chip pile under foot wood be a nuisance. Plus without the tip guard in place the chips fly and scatter.
Good morning 71° up early for a retiree. Getting into practice for an auction a week from Saturday that is large enough to start an hour earlier than usual.
Pain management shots up at Jefferson Barracks hospital at 1300

Morning everybody. Not a happy camper this morning. My mom has dementia, and I take her to Drs etc. I'd called 2 weeks ago and got her an appointment for this morning. Got her loaded up, go to the Drs office, go to check in, NO appointment recorded. Doctors not even there today. The bi__ I talked with hadn't even put it in the computer. Couldn't go off on them with mom there, but they could tell I was pissed! Got her another one for Monday. Her doctor will hear what I have to say about her staff!
