1000 6"x10" bags are about $42
WAY cheaper than the external sealer bags for something like a Foodsaver.
Just an FYI, the best way to utilize a deer is grind it up "sans the backstraps".
For family feeding anyway. Chili, spagetti, etc. you can use venison in and nobody says a word.
Lol.
We call it speed beef around here.
It also makes a damn good meatloaf when mixed with ground pork.

Ground deer + 85% ground beef = Deefburger.

Only way I could get the wife and kids to eat it.[emoji6]

After that first carcass I gave the rest away.[emoji849]

It is a Duraforce engine, part of the decal is still there. I bought a cheap plastic shutoffvalve and put it on the fuel line some years back, but at some point it failed, and if I leave the mower full of gas on a level surface, it will be empty the next time I go to mow. It all leaks right out of the bottom shaft bushing, I guess.

Are these things rebuildable? The output shaft has a bushing rather than a ball bearing, which seems a bit suspect to me. I really do like this mower, and I got it because it was the only one I could lift up easily to put in the back of a truck to go help someone out when their yard was a jungle.
Pretty much a plastic carburetor.
Let me rummage through "the pile" and see if I have a good used one.

Definitely a plastic carb body. Black plastic, I replaced teh kit in it, but could not get it to stop leaking. It makes sense to save money with plastic, I guess, but I wish the dang needle seat actually did its job! Thank you!

Yes, We have a good commercial one. I got a good buy on it, but there is nothing cheap about it! https://www.webstaurantstore.com/ar...achine-with-10-1-4-seal-bar/120VMASVP215.html
Looks like a good one. I can see it paying for itself over the long haul, and especially in avoiding those dang foodsaver ones, which now cost about 1/4 of this one. Yours would DEFINITELY outlast four of those crappy ones, AND do the job far better with lower consumables cost. Looks like it was a smart choice. Kind of like me buying a new splitter, because I know nothing about hydraulics, and have no way of knowing if a used on is going to have a failure or not. I plan to use it for many years, kind of like my Lawn Boy, which was $359 or so in about 1999. I figure it has outlasted four $100 cheap mowers and no back injury from trying to horse it into teh back of a pickup.

Everyone must be froze up or iced in. Dead in here
I've been learning some more on my simington, found that I like the white wheel the most so far. Been grinding chains all afternoon. Trying to get ready in case we have a bunch of ice. You guys got much ice out there?

Starting to get sleet and freezing rain here now. Might have to take the wife to work in the am. If so my 550 has a freshly sharpened chain if the need arises! :)
