I did all this over the 9th-17th and this last weekend, but I've been too busy to post it. My brother's 7.3 developed a severe oil leak from the drain pan, so I bought an upgraded dipstick repair kit and got her back in order in less than 3 hours all told. Not bad when the alternative was pulling the cab to pull the motor. Next on the list was struts on my dd Fusion, aided by some green power.

Next on the list is my baby, the '94 Land Cruiser. I got it driving again, albeit not good for long distances, and for the shakedown cruise took it over to my neighbor's and put a 2.5" lift on it. Bit of a bugger getting the axle lined up to re-install the track bar, though. This weekend's business was exhaust insulators, sway bar bushings, and a new rear u joint at the t-case. My Stihl 8mm t handle works excellent for installing zerk fittings, though.

Anybody know the good or bad about a 2017 Honda HR-V? My dad is looking at one, pretty sure it has a CVT. Our 2011 Accord has been stellar.

Cvts are nothing to be afraid of. Especially Honda. The killer of the cvts is heat. Nissan figured that out early on and sent out bulletins with add on cooler kits but did a poor job with PR to get the word out. Most wouldn't install them because of the cost. My Nissan cvt has 170k on it and 7600hrs. Still strong as ever with an external cooler.
