So I’m pretty sure the rubbers here need to be good and keep ice/snow/junk out. One came slightly deformed on the unit. I put it together anyways and played with it a bit. Of course not on the truck yet. Wondering if I have to go back to Oreilys tomorrow for an exchange or if this will work? Really wanted to get the thing put back together tonight yet. so ive had this thingy for about 4 years, my dad was the previous owner, it has sat for at least 10 years without running.
1975 unimog 416. it ran when parked, parked because the brake system needed work among other things. finally made time to mess with it. didnt even put fresh fuel in it lol. it cranked right over, alternator was seized but after a bit of beating it broke loose and actually seems to be working. it ran yesterday for the first time. i went out today just to see what it would take to restart

just flatbed but its kind of set up to add the dump stuff. honestly i dont plan on this thing doin much work. haulin me and the wife to town for an ice cream is about as hard as itll work

I just have a basic auto ranging fluke dvom at home with some leads that are on banana jacks to switch between probes and clamps. I have the same leads at work.
