Well i dont normally lend out chainsaws but i got a 5 dollar yard sale saw i dont have much into. Lent it to a relative running fine. Got it back cleaned it all up. Drained fuel idles till it quit and put away. Got it out today to do a couple small quick cuts and ran like crap. Was running rich. Foam filter was soaked after couple mins of messin with it.

This carb had a new kit put in it back in july. Amazing how quick ethanal will ruin it. He had the saw for about a week.

Ethanol fuel=complete garbage, especially for 2-strokes that run pre-mix.

Ethanol free 91 oct is readily available in my area and every single thing I own gets it except our two modern vehicles that are driven daily. My boats, saws, wheelers, lawn mowers and my 78 Chevy all get E-free 91

It's a hassle for me to get ethanol free so for the last four years I've used red armor 40/1 with pump gas maybe it's got an additve idk but no issues yet no this isn't a oil thread starter lol

Our high test e free gas is around $ 1.20 a liter.
Were really getting ripped off over here. But better then destroying equipment.

E-free runs about a dollar more per gallon than regular. I believe regular is about 2.55 right now.

You guys Suck! There's no E-free to be had in my area, E-10 only around here. Although I haven't had any issues from it in my personal equipment . I just try not to let it sit in my stuff too long.

Is E-10 ..10 % ethanol ? if so it has been the norm over in the UK for a bit. I get the usual stale fuel problems but with 10 % E , less of the rubber eating/degrading issues i read about on here. Up to 60 days ..MAX.. i keep a saw mix.
