Do you guys cover your stacked wood during the winter/ rainy seasons?
I did last year and will most likely do it again this year. Last year I used four blue tarps so I can remove one completely as I get all the wood from under it used up. Definitely made a difference but I then had giant frozen chunks of water where the snow or rain fell, puddled and froze. A few times one came sliding down unexpectedly and took me by surprise.

How much do you guys pay per cord of logs? I used to buy a logging truck and a pup trailer full of logs and it cost me $90 a cord of oak. The last time I bought was 2017 so I'm sure the price has gone up. Just curious what the current price is.
Last year I payed 800, for a log truck sixty 24 footers, little over 9 cord , 14 - 24 “ diameter basically,

Sounds like you got a really good deal. For the most part around here (northern Idaho) it ends up being $200-300 a cord of pine/larch/birch....more for the harder wood.

Edit: This is for small cords, not for log trucks. I hear the log trucks charge about $2,000 for a load - about 12 cord worth.

I’ve been getting it , from the same logger for a few years, so he treats me decent,

Too bad you don't live closer. I've been trying to get rid of these logs since summer.

Some White Oak, Sassafras and a Shagbark Hickory (another pile). 10 miles north of the AL/TN border near I-65. Both of my woodsheds are full and I'm trying to empty my Pole Barn of firewood; so I have no where to store this even if I processed it.

Love the saws! I am working on a super 797 and can’t wait to get it running!

Yea , that’s a great saw, I enjoy running those old Macs and Pioneers, especially the kart saws, have to give them some wood time every so often, 👍IMG_2578.jpeg
