dont they have a old oem 066 660 in the junk pile there?
Probably not; most of the guys that bring these saws in burned up get them rebuilt. And if we keep the jug it is toast, but now that I know the Mastermind fix I'll see if we have one and try to save it.

The carbs that come with the Farmertec 361 are junk![emoji35]

Only way I can start it from cold is to bottle feed it six or more times.

We changed the metering lever spring from the get go.

Don't seem to pump fuel at cranking speed.

Adapt Walbro HD from Farm Boss type or what??

Be sure and double check the metering lever is set right. I swear I set it flush when I changed out the spring, but several headaches later it was found to be too low.

Carb issues are an instant headache, as you referenced. The pain may be my excessive use of carb cleaner, but is probably more related to the stress/frustration of dealing with carb issues. I'm really considering buying backup carbs for my favorite models. These will stay in the shop and be used as diagnostic tools.

Not what I was hoping. Common problem seemed to be high idle and poor low end. Guys were finding that there was poor sealing around the throttle butterfly...replacing with an OEM made all the difference.
Did you try an OEM fuel pump gasket to see if that help? I heard the ones in those carbs are pretty stiff. Could cause an issue.

Yes, the pump diaphragm contained in the Farmertec carbs are really stiff plastic.
Middle below.

Rubber fabric type helps a lot. Top.

Going to try the more common style (bottom) next as the rubber one don't fit correctly.

I think the bottom one was said to be the most ethanol resistant. I always use that one if I have a choice

I've seen some FT stuff on here that was real crap. The only FT one I've ever bought was for a 272 that I put on my jred 630 and it was flawless. Good port shapes with no casting flash or flaws whatsoever. But some of them on here are terrible

Was surprised to see it for sure. Thought about it for a while and it's probably no different than the new top cover I have that says EM made in Brazil. Guess they do not care about covering there tracks, even if there is the hint of smell of rat in the room, I can not see the carcass. All this said, this is/may be the best cylinder my mitts have ever touched I compared against original KS and Mahle and believe this one will walk all over both. I can not find a single flaw, even the piston is beautiful and not what I'm used to seeing from FarmerTec. (This did come to me straight from China) Think I'll save this one for myself, I really like it that much. No matter what goes on here, one thing is certain, you just never can tell what surprise is next from these folks, and from what I can see, its been for the better.

I ordered a carb for a MS 460 from Huztl, and it came marked ZAMA, so I ordered another and it was not marked ZAMA and was not the same quality. Never did put the second one on a saw, so can't say if it worked or not. The first on is on 044 #2 and ran fine.
