While my supply of old 372 coils has held up enough to get some saws running again, so I've yet to deal with them. 272/55 Husqvarna and 0000-400-1300 Stihl coils supply dried up pretty quick for me though, so I do have a bunch of AM out there and in my saws. I did have one DOA other than that the rest are going strong from 4 years ago on up to recently. I just order more. This seems to follow the trend I find that if there is a problem it manifests itself right away. Besides, every one was replacing an OEM coil that failed, no one says anything about that though. Mind you this experience is from a very small shop.

Anyone else found much difference in the AM top AV mount ?...have put a few on the 361 and 260 . I think they seem to be less flexible and a tad more vibes to the hand than OEM .

Could be Simon, I usually start with dead stuff so I can't compare too good sometimes.

This is just the lowly Meteor kit wrist pin.

Date of manufacture, batch number and a hint of the steel chemistry even!

Don't expect anything like that from Farmertec!![emoji849]

I meant to ask you i got a nice shape jonsered 920 running great then the carb boot let go split clean through do know where i can find one.
I might have one.. really don't know. I have three of those things in running condition and have hoarded parts enough to build another I think. But they are down in the little shed we do our gtg's in...can't promise but I will look. Love those old beast saws. Also an outside chance spike60 has one. He'e about as stingy with those parts as I am...maybe more so!

for stock saws I find the coils that Farmertec distributes pretty dead nuts reliable
in my notes I have three issues with the coils on literally thousands sold
I have Carl telling me the 365/372 coil didn't work well for him when advanced, but he didn't remember if it was from me or not
I have Eric telling me I was a bag of farts for sending him a poly flywheel (bad magnet) and AM coil for a 660 he was porting for me - replaced both with new OEM
I have the FS87 coils mislabeled as fitting all of the FS90 when there are two different coils for the FS90

I have used a crap load of the coils on various saws. Never found one to fail yet. (But there may be exceptions).
Usually the spark plug wire is too long. I've shortened so many of them now --its fairly easy and simple.
