OK, we're setting it up so it's all on one page - the 2511WES, the 1/4" sprocket, and some chain and bar choices so you can point and click and stuff your basket and be so very happy about life.

As far as the B&C's are concerned, there's sort of an odd thing that SugiHara did. They made their 1/4" bar proprietary with their own 1/4" chain(SugiHara A4S series chain). Stihl chain won't run on the sugi bar. Yeah, we're confused about it, too. Anyways - We know not everyone is gonna be happy about that. So, we're gonna make a few options available. Panther makes a bar that will run the Stihl chain. So we'll have a 2511WES with a panther and one with a sugi option. That way you guys can choose which one you want with your saw, and you can have a saw shipped to you ready to rock instead of having to mod a Stihl bar.

Anyone know if you can get a4s chain stateside?

So, does the Echo 1/4 sprocket fit all 1/4 chains: metric, standard, Stihl, Oregon, Sugi...? I know Oregon doesn't match Archer's "1/4" pitch, but both seem to work well enough on the Echo sprocket. I don't get how different pitches/brands work on one sprocket, but not on all bar tips.

Is the Sugi .043? I have no desire for .050 1/4, just a waste of power.

The Sugi A4s is .043 and the Echo 1/4 drum works fine with the Stihl stuff as well. It's just the tip on the Sugi only works well with the A4s chain. Why Sugi did this is a mystery to us. You CAN find the Sugi chain in Europe as it was popular in the carving circles on Echo saws. But the supplier say that once the Sugi stock is sold off they are gonna stick with the Panther bars because they run the Stihl chain fine. The Panther bars are made specifically for ChainsawBarsUK, by their own supplier.

As long as Panther is up to Stihl/Sugi standards. It would be nice to have a few .043 Sugis... they are non laminated lightweight bars right?

I think all .043 1/4" bars are laminated, whether Stihl or Sugi or Panther. All the 043 bars I have seen certainly look like they've been spot welded together, including the 3405 series Stihl mini 1/4" bar.
The Panther bar, BTW, is basically a pattern of the Stihl - so 12" and the same 64DL. It has maybe a bit less taper(less pointy). You can see the 12 inch Panther in the video I posted previously. Below are photos of the 10 inch versions.

We have the link up for the Echo 2511WES's with Panther bars that run the Stihl chain, but probably won't have the extra bars and chains up on the same page until tomorrow on the same link. Until then, you can piece them together from the site and simply add them to your cart. The postage will be tallied at the end and there should be no tax when you enter your address outside of the EU. The 1/4 sprocket should be up on the same page now, tho.

And the chain, just don't forget to specify how many drive links before adding it to the cart or ya just get ONE link ;)

Keep it in mind that customs on the US side will do what they may, so be prepared just in case. Since CBU is an above board site, they will have to place the parcels true value upon it.

I hope you guys enjoy your saws!

Awesome thanks!

I'm a little confused though. What bars are coming but not there yet?

Will 3/8 lo pro be in the list, or 1/4 only?

It should all be there now at -
https://www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product-category/echo-CS-2511-wes/

There's little demand for 3/8LP in the UK on these saws, so it's all set up as 1/4 for now. However, if you want the Lo Pro ECHO bars they're available here(and bear in mind most of those bars come with chain):
https://www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product-category/misc/

The sprockets should be available stateside. I will ask Rob if he has any 3/8LP sprockets if you want one on your saw from him, tho. He did receive a fair few 2511T's with 3/8, so may have some sprockets.

Watch this space. :)

What length bar do folks recommend on this saw for limbing? 10 or 12?

I don't intend to cut 12" wood with the saw but I'm wondering if smaller will just make it hard to reach anything, even the small branches.

If you stick with 1/4" chain, it will run the 12 inch bar happily if you simply intend to brush out with it.

Why are there no reviews / vids of this saw yet?

I was all set to order one from Wes's link above but I decided I needed to sell some toys first. I might be close though.

Wes, how long will it take to get to the US (NY) once I order from the link above?

I dunno. I don't even see any reviews on the UK sites yet.
If anyone ordered, they should be there by now. I'm not privy to who ordered what or when. I'm just a messenger. :)
I got a few PM's, but I dunno if it's in good taste to call them out here.

I bought one and I think it arrived from the UK in only a week! It was fast. It was def in 10 days or less but I think it was more like 7 days. Arrived in perfect condition. I got the 1/4" Panther bar and 1/4" Stihl chain. I really love this saw. It is the easiest starting saw I have, hits on first pull every time, take choke off, start! Amazing! For general lightweight work, limbing, bucking small stuff, I can't see how anything can beat it, it's so light! I haven't done anything to it yet, I've probably ran ten tanks through by now. My only question now will be how (with what) to sharpen the chain. Mine doesn't even need sharpening yet but it will. I also bought an extra chain. My only negative comment is that I run out of fuel before I'd like but that's not that big a deal what with the ease of use. I haven't noticed anything else that bugs me. With the 1/4" bar/chain, it seems to slice through real quick. I don't know at this point what type of mod I will do, if any. It's not that loud either, as is, that's nice. Wonderful saw, cheers Echo!

Anyone run one with the 3/8 picco chain.
Not asking about it on a top handle, I've heard all the complaints, as well as the others.
Thanks.
