@Onan18 would know.

I'm happy they're making this saw.

Might be the second saw I've ever purchased new.

What's it like limbing with a baby saw like this? The weight is obviously fantastic but does the slower chain speed (does it even have a slower chain speed?) make it more of a pain in the ass to slice through little unstable branches?

From what I've read, that little thing is pretty hot. It's a close chanel cylinder saw. Built quite solid.

So is it still gonna be a muff mod ( disable the cat) and maybe change the bar to 1/4 as before..
It’s just what I’ve seen on youtube ...

So on the 2511T what mods had big bang for the buck? Was a muffler mod enough? Or is it worth having a timing advance and port job done?

Anyone recommend a porter? Not sure I want to screw with it myself. Then again I'm also not excited to spend $300 extra on a $400 saw. Blah

If I remember @usmcbuckwild has a pretty hot 2511 he might have some info.

I have done 11 of the 2511T saws and have had great results. Albeit they are a huge pain in the ass, but results have been pretty darn good. I have gotten the 2511T to perform almost the same as a stock 355T.

I’ll have to tear one down and take some pics. The hardest part is timing them, the small cylinder, being a clamshell and 90* exhaust complicate that.

Does changing timing make much difference? I vaguely recall reading somewhere that it didn't help much.

How close can you get by just drilling a hole in the muffler?

I was referring to port timing the cylinder.

Ignition timing change does next to nothing for them, if anything it is counter productive. You can get away with a 1/2” hole in the 2511T muffler to defeat the cat, but it will depend on if they change the exhaust on the rear handle saw.

Do you recommend a bar/chain change, and, if so, what? Thanks.
