I didn't go popup. Did I mention how much I hate dome Pistons?

My stock squish was .047 without base gasket.

I took .060 from base and .037 from band. I have a final squish of .023-.025. Unfortunately, the thicker reading is by the piston edge.

I went 7* for the band. Make sure if you are cutting with a mandrel the tool bit is cut short enough... :(

Those 2 gouges by the threads were before I realized the tool bit was too long. Made a sanding mandrel at 7* and finished to 150 grit.

Ex at 106, still have to bevel.

Transfers on the way to 125.

I am about .053 off the base, and .018 squish. Went too deep, and had to cut more off the base.

After cut numbers
Ex 121
Tr 131
In 88 at the very point.

Think I'm just going to widen the top 2/3 and raise it back up the .050.

Are you gonna epoxy the bottom of the intake?
Since I pulled my jug I put some in the bottom of mine.
Gonna raise my exhaust a bit and slightly widen the intake.

Nice, didn't see much room for a popup either.

Really wish the casting had more meat round the exhaust.

Don't think I am going to epoxy mine, just raise it back up, and widen it a bit.

So I raised my exhaust a bit.

Used some JB stick epoxy to raise the floor of the intake some.

And lightly raised the transfers some.
I'll bolt it back together tomorrow along with cutting the new port cover out and see what happens!

Your exhaust port looks sad.

Adds character...

You cut your chamber on the lathe? On any angle? I really ought to try using the lathe to cut squish at least once.

Should wake up a bit. Nice job sir.

Don't know if it is easier or not, but I haven't even bother tacking the transfer covers off yet...

What ever they are made of is really soft, cuts quick.

Thank you sir.
I figured if the intake fill kills it, it's easy to grind out.
Have to admit I have cheated a bit.
Messaging with Randy E and Carl some so I don't destroy it.
Although, super cheap find.
