I actually had to check the secondary openings a few times to verify that what I was seeing was in fact correct.

Squish with a gasket is .065

Exhaust cracks open at 106.5
Transfers 121/126/127
Intake 78

I don’t know how thick stock gasket is. It’s on there pretty good. It ain’t bothering me, so I won’t bother it. I know what squish is now and I know what I want it to be. The rest is between the Hendey and me.

Just got out to the shop. Cutting band/base now. The plan is to take .030 from the band. .075 from the base. That’s more intake duration than I want....but we’ll live with it for now.

Three things to look out for when taking as much off the base as I did (.075). The bottom of the intake will have to be trimmed to clear that partition. I cut a millimeter and a half off it.



This plastic tab I trimmed as well.


Where the muffler bolts to the cylinder, just under that bolt.
