Calling 044 gurus!

What can you guys tell me about this saw. Just picked it up today. One owner, older gentleman couldn't start it anymore so he traded it for a new saw with a decomp.

clean looking saw. 044 is a dam good saw. do you happen to know the compression

you can start by putting a table spoon of mix gas down the carb throat and see if it will run for a few seconds

I can tell you it is nice! Metal tag 044. Red lever.

Maybe post the serial number. Find out if it is a 10mm or 12mm saw.
Post a photo of the top of the jug. Could be a D Jug.

It is an early 10 mm saw with a ks jug,should run real good,one bad moda scootter.

I just know 044s sir.the rivot side cover tag and the red kill switch tells me early ks 10mm saw.

Dealer sights only tell me who the current or previous registrant is and what saw. It's too bad no other info comes with it.

I hadn't actually ran the number, but I just tried and the one written is invalid.
