I’ve got a vintage Sachs Dolmar true 25” bar. 84dl is way to small, took an educated guess and 87 was the number. Rounded up by one to 88 to stay even, had one made and shipped and it’s too long. It’s tight, but after pegging the tensioner.
Checking to see if someone local has the stuff to help shorten it.
I’m in central Mass with easy access to RI and CT also.

That’s with the 88
I’d need to look at it harder with the 84. I’m thinking with the 10, it’s a cut not a grind.
And I’m good with both!
That saw has a lot of balls even in stock trim as offered. An eight pin rim will be much more forgiving. Go with that and then cut the chain. You only need a file, a flat screw driver, a new preset and peen over the new link. You can use a tiny hammer or a cupped nose punch like comes with a hand kit for the field to shorten your chain. Flat file works good to remove the link pins. No need for a spinner or breaker.

I’ve got a breaker and spinner. I’m not far from you. I have presets and whatever else too. Just let me know, and we’ll get you done up.
