What's wrong? Something with the hardware and OS, the connection, etc?
I am a systems engineer if I can help....

Really appreciate the offer.

Seems my serial port on the dyno box does not work. Even if I could get the printer to work I would be a happy camper.

Tried a normal cable, null cable. Box acts like nothing is plugged in.

Don't really want to poke around and fry the box either.

thats a ridiculous comparison honestly, who wouldnt rather use a great modern saw instead of a giant heavy turd. im just saying if i had to choose a saw that i own to run a 36” 8 pin bar and chain, to buck up a bunch of logs, id grab my 394, not a five cube saw. i guess im just out in left field as far as that goes.
I gotta say I agree except switch 394 for 661;). Most modern 5 cubes don't balance well with a 36" b&c.

I thought the idea behind the dyno was to completely eliminate the variables.. Now after 150 forum pages of opinion & speculation I've concluded there are just too many variables to eliminate, variables are like the Jhynah virus, they spread, multiply & pop up everywhere. :shakehead:

I personally don’t use over a 28” bar on a 76cc saw for any long period of time, and yes the comparison is ridiculous. When I first modded my 461 and then bought a stock 661 the 461 would beat the 661 with the same 32’ bar and chain both 8pin. The 461 was more consistent and had a better torque curve, I was extremely disappointed with the 661! Once modded the 661 is now much faster, and fun to use. There are day’s I will run a Mac 125 36” bar, just for fun it’s dose well bucking, weights a ton and probably has less hp than my 461, Its just fun to run.
