Jeremy I want one when u get an extra. Im fixing to build another hybrid
I gave my design to our in house machinist expert ;)
They just take too much time to do by hand.
I will be plasma cutting a few tomorrow just to see how they come out.
But for a nice finish product, contact @Homelite410 or maybe @Glock37

Jeremy, my store had the Permatex 51817 (instead of 51813). Do you know if there is any difference between the two???

Also, any idea why the d jugs have that little triangle hole to no where on the bottom?
Not sure what the difference is between the (2) products Mike.

The hole is probably part of the casting process or an impulse port abortion??? Who knows?
That's my opinion

The hole on bottom is for automatic choke saws

+1 for me. I swam the river here too. But there was some pot bellied guy in the bushes when I climbed out. I picked up and made through the brush :lunchacos::wave:

Subbed for the rest of this thread. I was intently following this thread on the other site. Glad to see it reappeared here!

I'm not buyin that, the hole goes to no where, and my 046-D jug had the same hole. I think it may just be on 046-D jugs, and just something about the casting.

But I welcome comments from anyone with more knowledge.

The 044 was the only one with the auto choke. I had an 044C a long time ago that had been changed over to a normal choke. They probably had planned to have them on the other saws but changed their minds. They may not have wanted to pay Mahle to change molds until they made so many cylinders.

Hey Jeremy have you fit the cylinder cover to the larger jug yet? I got a set of covers from Dave and removed the front rib to clear the front of the cylinder. It seems like in getting some contact in the back. Do you have to remove any material from the back? If anyone knows let me know. Seems my covers are just a little crooked.

You jumped the gun in my thread......how dare you.
I've been done now for a week.
If you trimmed enough off the front, you shouldn't have any other issues.

I'll post pics when I get there ;)
