Ahh. I was just wondering. It's weird how I live in the town where probably 50 - 80% of the US's fire hydrants, brake drums, and manhole castings are produced and I have no idea how they're made
Neenah Foundry?

Okay, so here we have a Farmertec chain adjuster kit.
Something seems to be snagging and keeping me from getting full adjustment. This is as far back as I could get the pin to go.

Next up......bar studs.
Here you can see the old & new versions.
The newer version has a much wider shoulder which helps when installing bar & chain.
Highly recommend this simple upgrade especially if you run bars upwards of 25" or more.

But when you do, make sure your clutch cover has the counterbored holes to accommodate the deeper shoulder.
This is a Farmertec cover with the holes already counterbored. (Although not quite deep enough :( ).

I ended up running a countersink to deepen them.

Another small issue I ran into with the AM clutch cover, was the white chain slides.
The fitment is very loose. They drop out when tipped. No good.
My temporary solution was to cut a small piece of ziplock baggy for use as a shim, and place over the mounting hole - then press the chain guide into place. Seems to work for now.

Farmertec flywheel........

Maybe they're not ALL like this, but this particular one was a VERY porous casting. I didn't like the looks of it. Not to mention the cast metal had spilled out into the threads and needed to be cleaned. No QC. Nuff said.
I didn't use this flywheel. I personally wouldn't want to be running this thing when it exploded at 14k RPM. I'd feel bad if I assembled for Dave like this and something bad happened.
It's wearing an OEM.

Seems like a bad run of farmertec stuff. I personally have only used farmertec in the AM market and it's been great so far. A 272xp cyl, an 066 clutch, plastics, and various smalls...all as near perfect as I could tell. But the stuff you got was crap. You'd have to be pretty handy with a burr to even use that flywheel. Their qc seems sporadic at best. A shame, really

I bought aftermarket guides that did the same Jeremy. I took a wide soldering iron and melted the bottom bulging the lowerer edge. They fit tight after.

Actually, I'm pretty handy with a burr. I was able to clean the flash outta the threads, but the casting itself made me nervous.
