I was hoping to find some of that loctite 518 stuff. Because in the Favorite Sealant Thread it sounded like the 518 was more forgiving to those who moved slower.

I have used the black and it works just fine.

Ok so is there something better to use than that Black tube, or am I good to go with it? Because I did not go by NAPA or the Honda/Yamaha dealer, and could easily get something else.

So now that I have Sealant, I need to clean things off (if the tornadoes don't get us). After things are cleaned, what is the next step?

I don't even know what a ring compressor is. If you mean just an air compressor, I have one of those.....

Jay, Mike
No need for ring compressor on this series....it wiggles in together as there is a slight taper....
(think teenage summer nights)

I don't own a ring compressor but I've bn thinking about getting some.

I always use the plastic end of a stihl screwdriver.

Some day you'll get old and chit don't work, like yer eyes, fingers, hands ect....tools help lots.

I got a cheap set from baileys for like $8. Has a plastic stop and a piston block to rest the piston on by the skirts. Money well spent.

You should have said so earlier and should watch the HL deal of the day. They had a real nice set for cheap cheap a couple Fridays back. I almost bought a set and have no need for them.

well if you see a good vacuum and/or compression testing... stuff... Testor? I would love to know about it. I have no clue what would be crap brands and which would be worth the expense.... will I be needing Torque wrenches for putting this thing back together?

No torque wrenches if you can tighten a bolt to where it doesn't break off or loosen up lol. I wouldn't worry about a compression tester. Or a vacuum test kit if your shop can do it. Unless you're gonna do this to 10 or 15 saws

Fair enough.

Although I would love to get further into this, so who knows

If it happens, you can always get tools. All you need for this it a long t27, a pair of needle nose pliers, vise grips, a half a dozen various screwdrivers, and a bfh
