I’m glad to see that you have that truck back and driving around! How’s the auto feel in it now?
Like a screwball manual with no clutch! 😆

It’s a full manual valve body with switches for TC lockup and OD

How’d you run o/d and lockup on switches? I want to do the same thing to my 95 when I get it back from getting the bed welded up.
5 years of running with no o/d is getting old

I didn’t do it, I traded for the trans build/install. Works off a relay - I haven’t gotten the diagram yet.

White paint vs red? I once visited southern Florida for a few months.
I had a red D-50 power ram (Mitsubishi) and girlfriend had a white ford granada. Park them both in a grocery store lot for about an hour?
The red truck was waaay hotter then the white car, when you came back.

Hey fellas, been a minute. Lately I installed 2” lift springs from Thuren Fab (thanks for the tip @davidwyby ) and Bilstein 5100’s all the way around. I’m very happy with the way it rides now.

I went with the 2” lift springs to get my pickup back to, or as near as, factory ride height as possible. My truck is heavy. With a FabFours front bumper and Hiniker plow mount up front, it is nose heavy. The 2” springs were perfect for my situation.

Here’s my scale slip:

Keep in mind the GVWR is 8,800…

While performing the spring install, I ran into some trouble with the Track Bar hardware. I got by for a week or so, but today I had to replace it, as it was backing out. The threads were damaged when installed the bolt last time, and the nut didn’t hold..

Here’s the new hardware, metric of course.

And in the process of removing the track bar, the castle nut that holds the ball joint in the frame side, stripped out. So I ended up making my own castle nut after trying several auto, implement, and hardware stores looking for a 14mm X 1.50 size.

Took longer than I wanted to repair, but it’s done right and I shouldn’t have to worry about this for a long time.
