I really don't have anything to add. You guys are doing great without my input.
This is where I wonder if the accelerator pump carbs would shine with a bigger venturi. Best of both worlds.The most important thing to remember when messing with carbs in my humble opinion is not to lose the low pressure differential between the throttle plate and the venturi. Sure, a bigger carb might bring some engines to life.......but if it won't pull enough fuel to match the increased air flow you ain't getting anywhere.
I agree Allen. Sorta like a turbulenceI think the staggered trans opening has more to do with exciting a swirl scavenge than flow restiction. If you've ever noticed a 372/390 exhaust, its skewed to one side, and transfers are also staggered. It works pretty good to port with that in mind sometimes.
