Ok, it's just the lighting then. A very light hand-sanding would be the most you'd want to do. I don't know that I would even do that.

Thanks! Was talking to JJ in PM and am just going to restore the saw and keep the cylinder as is. It’s fine for the occasional run or two.

Pressured it up and had me worried for a minute. Pretty fast leak... got some soapy water and sprayed the seals, base and spark plug. Luckily the plug just needed tightened up.

Get rid of the bosch plug if it’s a made in china one. There no good as far as I’m concerned. The one on our 390xp failed fairly quickly and the electrode almost fell off into the cylinder. Ngk or champion only for me now. Not worth the risk.

I agree but I would only use NGK. champion plugs as far as I'm concerned are garbage just like the new Bosch plugs that's my two cents.

I might just stick with bpmr7a for everything now myself too. They just work.

They have proven to me that there the number one plug for small engine use and the price for them not to bad.

Price has nothing to do with it , for the price of a plug there is no excuse even if you change them 4 times a year it is a pittance ......
Put the wrong one in and well yeah it's gunna cost you a hell of a lot more ......

I have way to much going on the worry about saws! Im glad my career doesn’t involve them. I do try to get an occasional load of fire wood when time allows though.
